Feature Set:  

This burner can connect to your computer by using the new USB 2.0 or firewire ports. It also comes packaged with the Nero Software Suite, which enables you to edit video, backup data, and master and author DVDs. Some of the software that this product could include is DVD playing software along with label making components.

Unsupported media for this burner include DVD-RAM, CD+G and CD-I disks.

Burner Speed:  

The speed of the burner is incredibly fast for all media except for DVD-RAM disks, which are not supported. Besides that type of disk, this burner will write, rewrite and read the faster than most DVD burners. This burner and the Buslink DBW-1688-U2 are the only burners that we have come across that will write to a DVD-R DL disk at 8x. Every other burner only performs at 6x or 4x with this type of media.

Sony's support is better than most, our only gripe is that it took them 2 days to respond to our email instead of a few hours. Besides email, you can contact them by their toll-free phone number or visit their website for FAQs and troubleshooting guide. They could add live chat to make their support even better.

This product really could not get much better, it is fast, flexible and works with a variety of formats, the only thing it is lacking is a bit of software.
